Adam Gendle

Adam Gendle

Adam, or Gendle as he’s better known, is a TV presenter, ex-pro snowboarder, live host and actor.

His background in free sports led to him writing and directing snowboarding films which organically led to his onscreen career.

Gendle is currently filming a new BBC series ‘Animal impossible’ alongside fronting the hugely successful Red Bull Soapbox series for the channel Dave. Both series will see him travelling the globe presenting the action alongside co-presenter and best mate Tim Warwood. Gendle has also fronted The Indestructibles for the channel. The series saw Gendle attempt to re-create spectacular action sports stunts with entertaining results.

Gendle’s presenting career started with Red Bull’s long-running globally distributed show Cliptomaniacs. The show was a mix of action sports clips and comedy skits and ran for 5 successful series. Next, Gendle fronted Goalmouth for Disney XD, the channel’s flagship football series. This was Disney’s first UK production for the channel and ran for 4 years. The show proved to be hugely popular with Disney’s young audience and led to Gendle being recognised wherever he went by young footy fans.

Tim and Gendle’s popularity with a young audience led to them joining forces once again to front a web series for CBBC. ‘The Ultimate Masters of Bushcraft’ was linked to the CBBC show Wild! and allowed the boys to indulge their love of comedy character acting.

Alongside his presenting career, Gendle is also busy writing, directing and acting. Over the past 12 months, Gendle has written and directed 3 pilots, 2 of which are currently in production. He’s also starred in the independent film ‘Deuce’.

In addition to all this, Gendle devised and hosts the live show ‘Famous First Words.’

The hugely popular night has a residency in Soho, London and returns to the Edinburgh Fringe for a second year running this summer.
